Recommendation Report Prepared for: Dr. Bonnie Lenore Kyburz, ENGL 308 Technical Writing Prepared by: Mattilyn Moon-Eaton, Emily Moody, Preston Grand Pre, Godsfavour Odadeji Abstract In this UI/UX Project, the restaurant chosen was Thai Pavilion, located in downtown DeKalb, IL. Throughout this project the group looked specifically for appearance and usability changes that would make the restaurant more appealing and user-friendly. Looking at the appearance, there were many different aspects we decided to change such as lighting, decoration, flooring, wall color, and seating, and in terms of usability, there was not much to change other than adding a hostess stand. Overall, the majority of the changes relied on making the restaurant more appealing and user friendly to the average customer. We wanted to incorporate learnability. End Of Discussion

This semester has been a very interesting journey. I had a lot of projects, health issues came in the way but above all, I think I gained a lot more experiences. I made new friends, I lost some. I had some pretty interesting classes and I was disappointed in some. English 308 class taught me a lot on technical writing and I have also improved in my presentation skills. I basically had to do presentations in all my classes. It was tough based on the fact that I wasn't a public speaking type of person but I have to do them in order to pass LOL. I also did a lot of teamwork. That was pretty much okay cause I think I was lucky enough to get good team members. English 308 taught me how to communicate well to people. an example was an exercise we had in the class where our partner had to describe a shape and put it together to create an object without facing each other and without looking at that object first. changing backgrounds

One of the things I learnt to boost my photography skills is how to change back grounds. on Photoshop cs5 steps: Open the picture. use selection tools. Select the background with the selection. because you are selecting the picture, some parts of the pictures will be sharp, then you use the refine edge tool. this tool smoothens the picture and you hardly see the sharpness in the picture selected. with the refine edge, chose mask The right click on the white part of the picture and choose any color of  your choice.

ELECTION

Election is a process of getting elected or electing somebody you feel is qualified into a position of authority. Election can be in different forms. There is Student council election, Presidential election, Governorship election, etc. Election day in the United States is kind of like a big deal. The question going around was "have you voted?" It was very nice see the level of commitment and patriotism from individuals. The zeal of choosing the leader and the passion of wanting peace and progress in the community is a sight to behold. The election was long but at the end peaceful. But in the end, everyone was satisfied that they participated. I couldnt participate because I am an immigrant. But being among patriotic people and asking them how they felt was much more satisfying
