End Of Discussion

This semester has been a very interesting journey. I had a lot of projects, health issues came in the way but above all, I think I gained a lot more experiences. I made new friends, I lost some. I had some pretty interesting classes and I was disappointed in some. English 308 class taught me a lot on technical writing and I have also improved in my presentation skills. I basically had to do presentations in all my classes. It was tough based on the fact that I wasn't a public speaking type of person but I have to do them in order to pass LOL. I also did a lot of teamwork. That was pretty much okay cause I think I was lucky enough to get good team members. English 308 taught me how to communicate well to people. an example was an exercise we had in the class where our partner had to describe a shape and put it together to create an object without facing each other and without looking at that object first. This exercise taught me a great lot on the power of communication. Pretty much a class I'd recommend for every college students.

Reflection

Godsfavour Opadeji Scaredy Cat. Andy Blubaugh Reflection. The specific scene that got me was when he was attacked. It got me angry because I didn’t think he did anything to them. He was just a guy trying to make everything straight and look the way they should. But what was odd and surprised me was he has a generalized fear towards African Americans even though he knew his attackers weren’t all African Americans. I felt pity for him, but I felt like his generalized fear on African Americans wasn’t necessary. What I am still curious about is what his view would have been if an African American had helped him while he was been attacked because I still don’t see the reason why he would stereotype all African Americans.

Memories

Here's the thing- intros don't have to be long. In fact, we prefer them to be quite quick. They also don't have to be difficult, but they do have to exist. They prepare the reader and provide context for the content he or she is about to read. Leaving Nigeria was difficult mainly because of my friends. I was moving to another continent and I asked myself  "Do you have any evidence of the memories of the good times you had with your friends in Nigeria?" Sadly, I had none and I hoped I could go one more time to see my friends, make new memories with them, and also keep the memories I make. This jump-started my long time interest in photography. So my blog posts are gonna be on PHOTOGRAPHY.
